Burma’s pro-democracy leader, Aung San Suu Kyi, today says the military government won’t be able to solve ethnic problems by the use of force and coercion. She said only political means will produce lasting solutions for ethnic issues.  U Nyaw Win of NLD told VOA-Burmese that Daw Su made such comments during a meeting with a group of lawyers from her National League for Democracy (NLD) party this afternoon including him.  U Nyan Win also said Daw Su expressed her sorrow over the rise of tension between ethnic cease-fire groups and the military government as the former rejected the latter’s BGF proposal.  Daw Su also said political parties contesting the elections should make sure in explaining the public about unjust elections laws and unfair actions with regards to the elections.
